Utagawa Kuniyoshi<\/strong>, a renowned ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period<\/strong>, portrayed
Horibe Yahei Kanemaru, one of the Forty-seven Ronin of Ako<\/strong>.
The Ako Ronin were the central figures in the famous Ako Incident, widely
known as Chushingura (The Treasury of Loyal Retainers). Horibe Yahei
Kanemaru was the oldest of the forty-seven at the age of seventy-seven<\/strong> and took part in the historic raid to avenge his lord. The Ako Ronin remain enduring\u00a0symbols of loyalty and bravery in Japanese culture, and Horibe Yahei Kanemaru is remembered as one of their most respected members.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
